Project Management Professional (PMP) Exam prep Class
Description and Schedule
This is a 35 hour course to
prepare project managers that meet the Project Management Institute requirements
to take the Project Management Professional (PMP) exam. 98% of those that take
our course pass the PMP exam in their first attempt. The class can also be taken
by those that want to learn more in depth the best current practices in project
management. It is based on the Project Management Institute, A Guide to the
Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide)
- Fourth Edition, Project Management Institute, Inc.,
2008. It provides the
required 35 hours of project management training by PMI in order to be eligible
to take the PMP exam. It covers all of the areas covered in the PMP exam:

This course is instructor led and it uses accelerated techniques and online
practice exams.

A
program is a set of related projects and can also include non-project work.
Under a program these projects are managed in a coordinated way to attain
benefits and control not available from managing them individually. The
objective of this class is to cover the Project Management Institute (PMI)®
Standard for Program management. The class is intended for program managers,
lead engineers, decision makers, project managers and those that manage multiple
projects. In addition, for those wishing to take the Program Management
Professional (PgMP)® Exam, the class covers all of the material required in order
to prepare for the exam.
The course is instructor led and it uses
lecture, in-class exercises and online practice exams. The course is based on
the Standard for Program Management published by PMI. The course is 24 hours (24
PDUs) in duration and it covers the following:

Pre-requisites: The course assumes that you
are familiar with the PMBOK Guide) second
edition or later published by PMI. You meet that requirements if you are PMP or
CAPM® certified or have taken the PMP Exam Prep course. Otherwise you must read
the PMBOK before the class.
All class attendees will receive a copy of
the Standard for Program Management published by PMI, a copy of the Program
Management Professional Exam Study Guide and a student handbook containing all
the class slides. The class is divided into six 4-hours sessions.
Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)® Exam Prep
Course
This is a 24 hour course to prepare those doing project management activities
that wish to take the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) exam. It
can also be taken by those that want to learn about the best current practices
in project management. It is based on the PMBOK®
Guide Third Edition. It provides the required 23 hours of project
management training by PMI in order to be eligible to take the CAPM exam. It
covers all of the areas covered in the CAPM exam:

Edition Update
This is an 8 hours (8 PDUs)
course intended for those that either took the PMP Exam Preparation course based
on previous editions of the PMBOK or PMP
certified project managers that took the PMP exam prior to 2007.
The course covers the process changes and updated concepts from the latest
version of the PMBOK® Guide (Fourth Edition)
Introduction to Project Management
This is a 16 hours course (16 PDUs) intended for clients and managers new to
modern project management approach of developing products and services. This
course goes over the benefits of Project management and how to use project
management.
MS project for Intermediate to Advanced users
This is a 16 hours course (16 PDUs) intended for clients and managers that
are familiar with MS project for want to take their knowledge of MS project to
the next level. It cover the following topics:

How to use Work Breakdown Structures
This is a 4 hours course (4 PDUs) class that covers an introduction to WBS
and its application in a real project. The class covers a number of examples of

Value, the formulas and the application in a real project. The course covers the

Project Risk Management
This is a 8 hours course (8 PDUs) that over the application of risk
management to reduce problems in project management. This courses the principles
from the Project Management Institute and its use in real projects. The course
includes how to use risk management in a real project.
